After graduation I attended Thiel College graduating in 1976.  Married in 1977.  Worked for 6 years in a doctor’s office ending with the birth of my first child went on to have two more.  Was a stay at home mom for 13 years, active with PTA, Boy and Girl Scouts.

1991 went to nursing school graduated in 1993 as a Registered Nurse.  Had incredibly bad timing with President Clinton and health care reform and no nursing jobs.  While I looked for a nursing job I went to work as a child care provider in a large center ending there as Director. 

In 2001 I decided I needed a change and went to Mine Safety Appliances and have been there ever since.    After 27 years of marriage we divorced.  When the dust settled I bought a house in Oakmont (outside of Pgh). 

Of all my jobs I liked being a Mom the best.  Tim is 30, an Environmental Geologist, married to a high school teacher. They have two sons 2 1/2  and 4 months.  Being a Grandma is fun!  They live in Houston TX so I am on the plane a couple times a year.  Steve is 27 married lives in Pgh.  He is a Senior Programmer Analyst at Westinghouse and his wife works for BNY Mellon working on her masters.  They have no kids yet.  Laura is 25 studied Early Childhood Education and works as a preschool teacher. She is at home with me and chomping at the bit to get out.  

Life is good and peaceful.  I spend my days working, doing home projects, playing in my garden and spending time with family and friends. 

I hope everyone has a good time at the reunion.  Thanks to the committee for all their hard work, it's been fun catching up.
