Hello Bill.
Thank you for all the effort you and others have invested in rounding everyone
up. I look forward to seeing many former classmates next weekend. Here's a shot
at a bio.
After leaving Mt. Lebanon, I attended Penn State University where I graduated
four years later with a history degree. I married my college boyfriend shortly
after graduation and moved to Columbus, Ohio where I spent the next 25 years.
My career path has taken me from work in state government, to fundraising for a
women's shelter, development and fundraising for The Ohio State University, and
consulting for a number of nonprofit organizations. Prior to leaving Ohio, I
spent 14 years as president of a statewide association of charitable
foundations, and worked to promote philanthropy and informed giving throughout
the state.
My first marriage lasted five years and a few years later I met my husband of
25 years - Larry Sirinek (Mt. Lebanon Class of 1968).
Larry and I have two children, Michael (24) and Lauren (18) and I am step-mom
to Jon (32) and Greg (30). After Larry's boys were out of high school and
launched, we both decided that we'd like to come home to Pittsburgh and in 2002
had an opportunity to do just that. I joined the RAND Corporation, which had
just opened its third major U.S. office in Pittsburgh, where I serve as their
associate director for business development and planning.
We enjoy being back in Pittsburgh and have re-connected with many old friends.
Both of our mothers are here, and thankfully, remain in good health. When I'm
not working or engaged with family activities I can usually be found gardening,
attending a Pirates game (yes, a tried-and-true fan), or spending time reading.
Look forward
to seeing those who make the trek to Pittsburgh next weekend.
