Kelly Pipich (aka Marian Kelly)
I’m married to Tom (almost 15 years) and live in
Mt. Lebanon (yes I know). I’m currently the Executive Assistant to the CEO of
Familylinks, a human services organization that does a lot of great work in our
community. I promise not to ask for any donations until everyone has had a lot
to drink.
Way back in time I attended Pitt @ Johnstown and
the Art Institute and worked for a while in my early youth as an interior
designer, designing offices, homes, and kitchens. In my current youth, I still
fancy myself as having a good eye for design but now it’s just for fun, not a
profession.
I’m back “home” now but lived in New York from
1980-87 and in Sewickley (yes that one) from 1987-97. To put a positive spin on
all of that it was a time when I learned to be stronger and independent. During
those years, I made my living as a Human Resources professional (you know
Director, Manager, and all the other things we called ourselves) but after many
years of that I grew tired of the HR drama and I re-invented myself as the
boss. They call me an Executive Assistant but we all know how it works.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Europe and
meet my relatives in Ireland, spend my 10-year anniversary in Paris, sample all
that Italy had to offer, and see the Queen in London! Some of my other favorite
spots are the beaches in Bermuda and the Bahamas.
In the last 15 years, I’ve been involved in more
conversations about the New York Yankees than I ever dreamed possible and the well-documented
history of college basketball circa 1970-73 (my husband is a Fordham grad who
played basketball for Digger Phelps at Madison Square Garden).
I’m a step mom to Julie (24) and Chris (31).
I love movies and popcorn and sometimes even go
with my husband, you know, the ones that men would enjoy, like Magic Mike. Ha-Ha!
Can’t wait to see everyone!
