Forty trips around the sun since we graduated, oh my...been an interesting journey to be sure.

Have been living in South Florida (Coral Gables) the past 25 years w/ my wife Marta. Married 32 years this coming Thanksgiving. Talking her into marrying me is still my single most significant accomplishment. We have two grown daughters Allison (30, FSU grad) and Kelley (25, Clemson grad)--both making their way in the world and doing well in Chesapeake, VA and Austin, TX, respectively. Our oldest & her husband Joe have blessed us w/ a granddaughter Courtney Jean (5) and a grandson Mark William (8 mos.).

As far as the path that took me to where I am today: graduated from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) w/ the Class of 1976. Had troop leading assignments in El Paso, TX (I yr.), West Germany (3 yrs.) and Monterrey, Ca. (1 yr.) from 1976-1981. Obtained Master’s degree in Business Mgmt. attending night school while on active duty. Left the service in 1981, joined P&G Brand Mgmt. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Moved to Tampa, Fla. in 1983 to manage marketing/advertising for Lykes Pasco's Canadian business. Moved to St. Louis, Mo. in 1985 to work on consumer product development at Ralston Purina Company. Moved to Coral Gables, Fla. in 1987, started law school & obtained law degree from Univ. of Miami School of Law in 1991. Practiced the past 21 years as a trial attorney doing products liability, employment and tort defense work w/ several national firms before starting my own firm, Golden & Grimes LLP in 2004—just celebrated our 8th anniversary.
