After high school, I attended Pitt for 5 years,
majoring in music. Then I went to New England Conservatory in Boston for my
Master’s Degree in piano performance.
Moved back to Pittsburgh where I met my now
ex-husband. Moved to Rochester, NY in 1984 and love it here. Have been teaching
piano and concertizing since then.
Raised two beautiful daughters, one of whom just
moved to Boston for a graduate degree in Special Education and the other is at
home while she student teaches (physical education).
Have “majored” in personal growth for many years
and am, additionally, certified as an EFT (Emotional
Freedom Techniques) practitioner (I help people gain lasting relief from
anxiety/stress/chronic pain /inner obstacles, etc.).
A few years ago I professionally recorded a CD of
classical music, performed on a 3-octave toy piano. Then, I performed with our
orchestra, playing part of a Mozart Concerto, on the toy piano. It was a hoot.
I love playing practical jokes, pranks really, on the parents of my students.
I’m a kid at heart.
