After attending Bethany College for a short time, I left and
pursued an Associate’s Degree in Business from Bradford School of
Business.
I worked many years for my Dad, Dr. Robert Nicklas, who was a podiatrist. His office was in Mt.
Lebanon at 640 Washington Road, a few doors up from Cedar Blvd.
I really cherished the time we worked together.
I married my soul mate in 1979. We met in the
church choir after my husband moved here from California. We have been
happily married for 33 years. We have lived in USC since 1981.
We have four sons. Steven is 32, and is currently
pursuing a Ph. D. in Neurosciences at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in
NYC. Sean is 25 and just moved to NYC. Sean works as an
Internal Auditor for a large consulting company. Ryan is 21 and will be a
senior, in the fall, at Pitt studying accounting. Evan is 28 and is
currently studying at the University of Phoenix. Evan is the father of
our granddaughter, Jaelyn, who is six. I really
enjoy experiencing a girl's world after all those boys.
I was a stay-at-home Mom. Mostly we did soccer and
scouting with the boys. Three of our sons attained the rank of Eagle
Scout, and one who was a Life Scout. Steve, Sr., was a Scoutmaster for 16
years at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair, and he retired
this year.
I owned a craft business for ten years. I
worked as an Admissions Counselor for a small technical school.
I volunteer with the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance. I have worked since
1999 as a Wedding Director, a job I truly enjoy.
I am looking forward to the reunion……
