In the years leading up to and even after her diagnosis she pursued life to the fullest, visiting the Peruvian, pre-Columbian city of Machu Picchu, swimming in the Amazon River and hiking the Grand Canyon with her dearest childhood girl friend of more than 40 years, Ivy White. Ann was an active member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Springfield, VA where she was a long time member of the church choir, former member of the vestry and also helped to compile an illustrated brochure of the church's stained glass windows. Her passion for nature and gardening led her to serve as head of St. Christopher's grounds committee where her remains have been interred in the church's memorial garden. A public memorial service celebrating Ann's life will be held on Saturday, July 24th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1066 Washington Rd., Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228.
