Very sad news. Leo Schober passed way this month. He was such a nice guy. I saw him at our 45th & 50th reunions. Rest in piece Leo. My deepest condolences to his family & friends.

Leo B. Schober
Leo B. Schober, 69, of North Port, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2023.
He was born June 19, 1954, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania and grew up in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by parents Leo B. Schober, Sr. and Claire (Moffitt) Schober and sister Gail Miller.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Diane (Dukich) Schober, brother William Schober, sisters Mary Bender and Ann Schober, and brother Paul Schober, children Rebecca Nill, Jessica Caughy, and Leo Schober, Jr., grandchildren Claire Nill and Emma Schober.
Leo was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Val Technical Institute, and the University of Pittsburgh.
Leo was employed as a Carpenter and Civil Engineer and retired from Greater Pennsylvania Carpenters’ Union after 36 years of service.
Leo was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in North Port, Florida.
Leo was a huge Steeler fan and Penguins fan. He also enjoyed hunting elk in Colorado and hunting deer in Pennsylvania and playing in a billiards league. After retiring to North Port, Florida, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. He took many ski trips out West and to Europe. He also travelled to many countries around the world. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He took great pride in keeping his home and landscaping beautiful. He could fix anything with his skills and knowledge. He was also an expert auto mechanic. He was always there for anyone who needed help and he helped without hesitation. Everyone who knew him knew what a hard worker he was. He will always be remembered for his kindness, caring, great attitude and forgiving ways.
Friends will be received Monday, August 28, 2023, from 4pm until 7pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
Family and friends will gather Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, 2200 Irwin St., Aliquippa, PA 15001, where a service will be held at 10am, with Fr. Branislav Golic officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Elijah Church Cemetery, Aliquippa, PA.
Pomen (blessing service) will be held Monday at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, South Sarasota County, Inc., Florida in Leo’s name.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
